Simply put, Heidi Wills is one of the most incredible individuals I’ve ever met. I had the pleasure of working alongside Heidi for 11 years at The First Tee of Greater Seattle. And she is as passionate and genuine as they come. Heidi is the epitome of a servant leader. Every time she walks into a room, she looks for opportunities to leave the space a little better than she found it—whether that is through authentically connecting to the people within it or sweeping floors and folding up chairs. I’ve seen Heidi do it all, and she does it with a smile on her face and a joy for contributing meaningfully to community.
As a nonprofit leader, I’ve watched Heidi bring together people from all walks of life, from corporate partners and government agencies to school administrators, parents, and community members, to create youth development opportunities for thousands of young people in our region. She is someone who inspires big thinking and is driven by what’s possible. Heidi fearlessly embraces challenges as an opportunity to come together, build consensus, and create a community we can all be proud of. Her strategic thinking, consummate consensus building, and relentless optimism are just what Seattle needs to navigate our current growth and thoughtfully approach the questions of tomorrow.
