I’m excited to campaign for Seattle City Council District 6.
Our city is facing tough challenges, especially housing affordability, addressing our homeless crisis, and traffic congestion. At the same time, we have an enormous opportunity to work together to find constructive solutions in order to create a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable city.
I believe that we need more engagement, respectful dialogue, and collaboration. I am excited to run a grassroots campaign talking with the people of District 6 to hear their priorities. So far, people consistently tell me that they want to see a focus on basic services – the humble acts of government that affect our everyday lives, including keeping people safe, maintaining our parks, and providing transportation infrastructure improvements.
People are also deeply committed to environmental protection and are mindful of how climate change is affecting our air quality with last summer’s smoky skies to more frequent severe weather conditions. Seattle must continue to lead on climate protection. I know how to shape public policies to reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship.
As a mom and someone who has worked with young people from diverse backgrounds, I am committed to building a bright future for all children in Seattle. From tackling affordability to growing our economy and protecting our environment – I feel an immense responsibility to ensure future generations can have the opportunity to thrive in our city.
My husband and I own a small business. This is a perspective currently missing on the city council. I understand the needs of local business owners and entrepreneurs and I have the experience to hit the ground running to bring balance and an effective approach to policy-making.
I hope you’ll join me. I will be participating in Seattle’s Democracy Voucher Program and in order to qualify, I’m going to need your help:
- Donate $10 or more
- Sign and return your Statement of Support
- Donate your Democracy Vouchers to my campaign (request replacement vouchers here)
Thank you for any support you are willing to give.
